The people behind TLH

TLH began with Ranjani and a handful of children learning to read together online. She had spent more than 15 years building reading programs and learning ventures for children, and she kept coming back to one simple idea: children become readers when they read real books, in a small group that knows them, a little every day. Parents noticed. Children who couldn’t yet blend sounds were soon reading chapter books. Grade 5 students wrote and published books of their own. Word spread from one family to the next, and that small group grew into The Learning Habits.

Today, we’re a small team of educators and book lovers working with families across the US.  Still teaching small groups. Still using real books. Still reading a little every day.
